Interview with Shkodra Elektronike: Identity, Roots And A New Album On The Way

Shkodra Elektronike tell us about the path that has brought them here, their creative process and also announce the release of a new album scheduled for March 2026

This summer I had the pleasure of interviewing Shkodra Elektronike, the Albanian electropop duo who reached the Eurovision final  this year. After our chat, I attended their concert in Bologna, where they performed a mesmerizing live performance. It was a sound immersion that mixes electronic and Albanian folkloric sounds that captured the audience (including me since I had goosebumps several times). To find out more, you can read the live report I wrote about this concert.

New album release and Shndrit EP in physical format coming soon

During the interview, Beatrice and Kole talked about the path that has brought them here, but also about future projects. In fact, they announced the release of a new album scheduled for February/March 2026, which they were working on before even participating in the Albanian Song Festival, and not expecting to win it, they rushed with the release of the EP Shdrit of which they also announced the release in physical format.

The duo talked about their relationship with Italy, where they have been living for years now, and how Albania, especially the city of Shkodra, influences their music. In addition, it was also interesting to talk about how they experienced this multiculturalism in the personal sphere, which especially at a young age can create confusion about one’s identity, that is then resolved with the realization of the fact that, in reality, being part of several cultures is nothing more than a gift.

You can learn about all this in the video interview that has been published on our YouTube channel, which you can find below.
